This page is dedicated to friends and family of PRVT who have left us too soon.

PJ and Frenchie came to the Poodle Rescue of Vermont in August of 2011. Karen's last act of love was to make sure that her boys would be taken care of. She passed away just days after the boys came to us. The original plan was to keep PJ and Frenchie together, however it was discovered that PJ had Cushings disease and would require significant ongoing medical care and expense. With the blessing of Karen's family, Frenchie would be adopted by a loving family. PJ remains with PRVT as a permanent foster in a loving home of his own.

In Loving Memory of Carl, our friend and PRVT volunteer

Carl passed away in early September 2012. This picture of Carl and Cole is from last October. He and his wife Sue fostered and helped transport seventeen poodles for Poodle Rescue of Vermont including Ash, Coal, Angel, PJ, Frenchie, Prince, Belle, Hope, Holly, Bedlington Terrier puppies, Parker, Princess, Precious, Nutmeg, Buddy and Radar. Carl, who suffered from chronic back pain would generously volunteer his time and gas to drive the poodles to grooming and Vet appointments, transport from one rescue to another, foster home to foster home and of course adoptions. We miss you Carl and we know you are looking over us and all the poodles.

Who We Are:

We are a dedicated group of caring animal lovers who rescue, care for, and save the lives of many poodles each year.

Our transport and foster volunteers are primarily located in (but not limited to) the East Coast/New England area.
